Obama’s foreign policy has earned almost
universal rebuke from around the world. Conservatives, liberals, libertarians,
and the people of Egypt can see what should be plain: Obama’s policy of dumping
weapons on radical groups, encouraging violence, and stirring up conflict is
leading to civil wars and blowback terrorism.
Obama still refuses to stop dumping weapons all
throughout the Middle East, even though he knows that the weapons are going to
people on both sides of almost every conflict — leading to more bloodshed and decades
more of resentment against the United States.
Now, even Egypt’s president, who is receiving
arms from Obama, is sick of his encouragement of conflict, especially his
encouragement of support for the Muslim Brotherhood who are pushing for
Egyptian civil war. Egypt’s president’s words can be read below.
Al-Ahram, Egypt’s largest news organization,
reports:
Egypt’s president on Friday suggested US
President Barack Obama’s condemnation of a deadly crackdown on Islamists may
“encourage violent armed groups”.
“The presidency fears statements not based on
facts may encourage violent armed groups,” it said in a statement responding to
Obama’s condemnation of Wednesday’s carnage when police moved to disperse
Islamist protest camps.
“The presidency appreciates US concern for
developments in Egypt, but it wished it could have clarified matters,” said the
statement published by the official MENA news agency.
“Egypt is facing terrorist acts aimed at
government institutions and vital installations,” the statement said.
Obama on Thursday said he was cancelling a
joint military exercise with Egypt, adding he “strongly condemns” the security
forces’ operation that killed more than 300 people in the Cairo protest camps.
Obama is the worst of all possible worlds when
it comes to foreign policy. Essentially every aspect of his policies encourage
terrorism, conflict, and violations of property rights. Al Qaeda grows stronger
due to his “collateral damage” of civilians and the arming of Al Qaeda’s
allies. It’s time to learn from Obama’s mistakes before it’s too late.
